1. Mozayik w/ Emeline Michel at Tamboo Restaurant, Brockton MA. MAY 12, 2007
Mozayik's debut Massachusetts performance at Tamboo Restaurant in Brockton. This event was full to capacity, and Mozayik with special guest Emeline Michel gave a memorable performance. Both artists had a cd signing after the concert. Much thanks to Nasyon Soleil Productions, Total Ambience Productions and Tamboo Restaurant for putting together such a wonderful event.
2. Mozayik's Debut Performance in Haiti - Musee de la Cannes a Sucres 11/18/06
Our debut performance in Haiti, after seven years of anticipation, was a rousing success! Performing along with Reginald Policard & his wonderful group, Mozayik closed the show in front of 1,700 fans, who gave us an overwhelming reception. The venue is spectacular, with a great sound system and two giant video screens flanking the stage. Portions of the performance were broadcast live on TNH (Television Nationale d'Haiti) and Canal Bleu. The band was joined by two of Haiti's finest percussionists, Daniel Brevil and the legendary Azor. The feedback we have received thus far has been overwhelmingly positive, and the experience was one of a lifetime. Mozayik thanks all who made this trip possible, especially Reginald Policard & Yole Derose, the Auguste family of the Musee Cannes a Sucre venue, Daniel Marcelin, along with many others. Thank you for making our dream come true, and we hope to see you again very soon!

We look forward to the next one! Thanks to "KUNTAKINTE" (Carlito Douyon) and "KRISTO" (Christian Nicolas - soundcheck shots) for the photos!
4. 1st Annual Haitian Jazz Festival at SOBs 10/09/05
The 1st Annual Haitian Jazz Festival, held at Sounds of Brazil (SOBs) in NYC on Sunday, October 9th, 2005 was truly an historic occasion. Six solid hours of beautiful music by some of Haiti's top talents. The event was completely sold out in advance, and the line stretched around the corner with fans trying to get in the door.
Buyu Ambroise & The Blues in Red Band, Eddy Prophete, Mozayik, Emeline Michel w/Makarios Cezaire & Mozayik, Reginald Policard w/ Richard Barbot & Joel Widmaier, Boulo Valcourt, Beethovas Obas, Jowee Omicil, an impromptu performance by Wyclef Jean..... the music never stopped.
DEEPEST thanks and appreciation to Papa Jube Altino at SOBs, and the staff he put together to handle all of the details involved in the planning for this spectacularly successful event. What started as Gashford's dream, became a reality through the hard work and dedication of all involved. THANKS to all of the sponsors for this event, for your generous contributions.
5. Mozayik Live at Dizzy's Club Coca Cola
Mozayik recently finished two weeks of shows (June & July 2005) at Dizzy's Club Coca-Cola, a wonderful new jazz venue which is part of the newly re-designed Jazz at Lincoln Center facility in New York City. For our second week, we also invited some guest artists from the Haitian music scene to sit in with us. Many thanks to Jowee Omicil (saxophones) and percussionists Daniel Brevil & Tiga Jean-Baptiste for adding their artistic talents to our presentation at Dizzys, and to the staff at Dizzy's for providing us with the opportunity to perform there, and for making us feel so welcome. We thoroughly enjoyed every minute.

6. Stamford Center for the Arts
On Sunday, Jan 30th, we performed at The Rich Studio, part of the Stamford Center for the Arts complex. We had a great time! The audience (mostly first-time Mozayik listeners) were very receptive and supportive... and we did see some familiar faces as well. Thanks again to all who came out to the show, for giving us such a warm reception. Special thanks to Mr. Ted Cruz, a wonderful pianist, for sitting in with us during our first set. 7. Making of "Rhythmic Reflections"/"Haitian Creole Jazz"
Mozayik recorded all the basic tracks for recordings to date at a beautiful studio in Glen Cove, Long Island, NY called Tiki Recording Studio. Tiki was located in a house, the actual studios occupied the first floor. Upstairs was a graphics department, and post-production work stations. Tiki had a very "home-y" vibe, a baby grand piano, and plenty of room for the band to stretch out and be comfortable. We will miss Tiki as its no longer with us - Alicia Keys bought the whole building - Alicia, we want to come hang at your house!
Thanks to Patrice Douge for the photography.
8. "Rhythmic Reflections" CD Release Party
